Live and Twitching. An evening of live music for MHA

Don't Miss Out
Time: Thursday 7.30pm
Cost: Free Entry: Donations On Door

Following in the footsteps of The Stone Roses, Guns N Roses and the great Color me Badd. Imperial Cars presents for one night in August TheTalking Heads, Southampton will see four bands come back together to raise money for MHA – Eastleigh Live at Home.

MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for 17,800 older people throughout Britain. We are one of the most well-established care providers in the sector and amongst the largest charities in Britain delivering services to older people for 75 years.

ARMCHAIR ATHLETES are a 6 piece band, made up of three guitarists (Bass, Lead & Rhythm), drums, Keyboard & Lead vocalist. The founder Bob Richmond and the lead singer were previously part of a successful band called “The Stealers” having played in venues such as the Brook and the Alresford Festival. Armchair Athletes play primarily original material written by Bob Richmond, although the band are very capable of playing covers if required.

The material is a real mixture of soulful ballads to light rock with an anthem feel, all with great lyrics and musicality.  Our lead singer Adam, is Southampton’s very own “Rag n Bone Man” both in stature and vocal ability.

UNORTHODOCKS are three former members of The Docks, Reggie Bryant, Andy Scaysbrook, Gareth Sharp and new arrival Steve Wadey from The Rising. During their ten years of gigging and recording The Docks gained a reputation for great live shows and a earnt themselves a loyal and fervent following. Expect more of the same from Unorthodocks whose new sound is a mix of heavy blues and riotous anthems! You won’t be disappointed.

SAUCY JACK ramshackle, rambunctious, ruffian rock ‘n’roll from some cheeky scamps. Insulting each other’s parents at a venue near you soon.

After four years the guys return to play toe tapping fun filled Rock n Roll with a few Jagger Bombs thrown in along the way.

THE CURRENTS were formed in 2007 when the original members met each other in the rock city of Virrat, Finland. The musical style of The Currents could be described as ränttätänttätää-rock with strong British influences. Generally good music, you know…

The Currents try to stay away from all kinds of strange and shady so called “progressive” stuff and just play honest rock/pop… and that’s totally not pop/rock.

This will be the first show in the UK since 2012 for The Currents having all moving away to pursue individual musical projects.
