These acoustic, unplugged sessions take place in the Maple Leaf Lounge (a.k.a the quirky and charming front bar of The Talking Heads).
Every other Friday night we have three acts, each playing a 45 minute set. It’s a lovely chilled evening filled with candles, fairy lights, beautiful music, a friendly atmosphere and free cupcakes! What more could you ask for?
Admission is free however we always leave out a bucket for donations which go to our wonderful artists if you want to show your appreciation.

Since first picking up a guitar at the age of three the instrument has held a lifelong fascination for Alistair. Described as gutsy driven acoustic roots, Alistair’s live performances blend melody, rhythm and vocal talent into a heartfelt and heady brew.
Ellie Ford is an alternative folk musician based in Brighton drawing influence from the likes of Karen Dalton, Nick Drake and Joanna Newsom.
As a solo performer Ellie Ford is captivating, with her harp and guitar parts underpinning her sultry vocals. With her band, Ellie fronts a five piece contemporary folk band who make use of modern and orchestral instrumentation.
THE PAPER TRAINS
Established in 2011, The Paper Trains are a modern three-piece string band, with a distinctive repertoire of self-penned Americana tracks. Their music combines harmony-enriched vocals, strident guitar laced with incisive licks, demon banjo picking, truck stop honky-tonk piano, and sure-footed upright bass lines.
